Amazing Words: Tittup

Each week, I’m going to present an amazing word. A word that has a double meaning either directly or perhaps through origin, where is has evolved into a new meaning, or carries a wonderful Onomatopoeic effect.

This week my amazing word is:
TITTUP

"She runs to the Range Rover making her breasts tittup across her large cupped top.” – Blood Ties.

Tittup is an onomatopoeic word representing the trotting of horses. The word means to move in an exaggerated or prancing way, like a spirited horse.

In the example above, tittup is used to describe how the woman’s breasts bounce around but also to indicate her agitated frame of mind.
